Lie not one to another,seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
And have put on the new man ,which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Col 3:9-10
As new creatures in Christ Jesus king of glory ,we are introduced to a new life and I mean new culture and lifestyle;our old life is renewed with the new life in the lord Jesus and we are expected to portray the very life we are given.
In our opening above scripture,the Bible tells us something so profound ;the word tells us ‘Lie not one to another,seeing the have put off the old man with his deeds ;’. You see as a child of God,there were deeds u used to do in the old man ,God tells us to put the off as they are considered by the deeds of the old man that you have been renewed from by the new birth you received from God .
The following deeds of the flesh like anger wrath malice , blasphemy ,filthy communication, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection,evil concupiscence and covetousness which is idolatry must not given chance to operate in your new life in the lord.
The next verse continues to say ‘And have put on the new man ,which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him’. praise the lord ,we are privileged with a new life in the lord ,the new man is renewed in the knowledge after the image of him (lord ) that created mankind ; remember man was in the created in the image and likeness of God before the fall of man.
Therefore ,we must refuse to portray the deeds of the old man and portray the new man’s deeds for example love ,peace long-suffering, gentleness goodness faith meekness temperance and I promise you that you will enjoy life in it’s abundance.
Prophetic Confessions I have the new life in God ,bought with the precious blood of our lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, therefore I will live out the deeds of my new life in him .I reject every deed of the old man and the embrace deeds of the new man in the lord in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
Prayer of Salvation
Today lord,I thank you for dying on the cross of Calvary for my sins ;I acknowledge you today as lord of my life .I trust and believe in as lord of my life ,save me lord in Jesus name, Amen!
