South Sudan Artist Union President on Friday issued executive order restructuring his cabinet and naming a new Vice President, Secretary-general, Information and Finance Secretaries.
Hamet Deng William, the President for the Artist Union appointed Bilpam Akech as the new Vice President replacing Duop Pur Duop.
Nicky Prince is appointed Secretary General, John New as Finance Secretary and Lengu Alfred Garang aka Mr. Lengs as the Information Secretary for the artist union.
Hamet Deng William revealed that most of the artists in South Sudan are using art that originates from their everyday lives, noting that the artist use their personal experiences to create meanings and sensitize the citizens.
In October 2021, Artist Union elected Hamet Deng William with the aim of creating peace and unity among artists within the country.
