The ministry of general education and instruction in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state said it has sent 23 teachers to attend a month-long capacity building course within Juba and China.
Santino Bol Akot Nguel, the director general of the state ministry of general education and instruction, said that five of the teachers will depart on Friday to Shanghai for one- month training, while the remaining 18 will undergo training at Rombur national teacher training institute in Juba.
“There are a lot of opportunities coming up for our teachers, the training they are going to attend will teach them on how to plan for lessons among others,” Akot told journalists in Aweil town on Wednesday.
He said those heading to China will particularly be trained in school management.
A total of 65 South Sudanese teachers and school managers from across the states, will attend the training in China for one month under the China-Aided Phase II Technical Cooperation Project of Education in South Sudan.
Other groups of teachers and school managers will also proceed to Shanghai when the first batch returns.
