A vehicle belonging to road construction company, Africa Resource Corporation (ARC) on Monday hit five of it’s employees on a motorcycle in Gogrial West County killing two of them.
Eye witnesses told the Juba Echo on Tuesday, that the incident happened when the five employees were returning to their base at Abeet area near Aweil South County.
Garang Santos, one of the employees at the company said the vehicle that hit the five passengers was returning from Wau town.
He said three people sustained serious injuries.
Garang said the car was being driven by the human resource officer of ARC who is currently in police custody as being investigations go on.
He said the deceased staff hail from Aweil and Abyei Administrative Area.
ARC Company has been accused of employing unqualified drivers.
The company was granted contract by the national government to construct major roads such as Juba-Bor road and the Terekeka-Rumbek-Bahr El Ghazal road which it’s working on together with Chinese firm Shandon Hi-Speed Co.Ltd.
