The new mayor of Juba city council Flora Gabriel has assured of delivering better services in the city of Juba.
Flora Gabriel was appointed into power through a gubernatorial decree on Friday by the governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony.
Faced with many challenges, the city council has struggled to manage the population from waste management, tax collection to insecurity caused by the gangs. Street snatchers and the unknown gun men.
Flora said, “I want your cooperation to be able to do all these as we have a mandate as city council. I will start from where the predecessors stopped. I want to work with my deputies, we should have the heart of working together.”

She called for transparency and accountability from the city council citing it would impact service deliver and make work easy.
“We are coming here for work not for pleasure or showing, am not going to be the best but will try my level best with the team of local government and the city council,” she said.
She called for peace and harmony in the city council citing commitment to work would be a game changer for the regime.
Flora Gabriel took over office from her predecessor Simon martin who was a caretaker of the city council.
