The Women Progress Organization (WPO) on Friday trained 15 Journalists on how to detect misinformation and disinformation news in Unity State.
Mr Dak Chuol Deng, WPO project officer said that the training focused mainly on the role of media in the fight against disinformation.
“This training session will empower journalists to identify misinformation and disinformation, we will organize another two days training with different media topics,” Deng said during the workshop held in superior hotel of Rubkona town.
WPO is a non-profit organization based in Upper Nile region and Juba.
It offers capacity building training to journalists in Upper Nile region.
Deng added that they will continue to offer capacity building training to journalists.
