City Mayor promises major reforms

Juba City Council will review and harmonize prices of commodities by halting unnecessary fines. 

Juba Mayor, Michael Lado Thomas Allajabu  says the main policy plan for Juba city council is stabilize the market prices by reviewing rates schedule.

Speaking to a gathering in Juba Town Block, Allajabu said, “I would like to ensure that there is harmonization of prices in the market by reviewing the rate schedule and stoppage of unnecessary fines, this will happen after swearing in Juba City Legislative Council,” said Allajabu.

He said the council had decided to organized markets to bring back some order in the town.

Allajabu said a market place in Juba Nabari is grabbed and would make all efforts to ensure it is repossessed.

He appealed to traders to cooperate with the council to return sanity in the town.

 Allajabu said that he will form a committee to review investment contract to enhance revenue collection in the city.

He revealed that the council had more than 30 fixed assets including the Unity Garden.

“One of my policy plan is that I would like to improve the administrative and management system in Juba City, there may be some challenges hampering the management in the city, “he said.
