Police in Northern Bahr El Gazal State are searching for the suspect who stabbed a 35-year-old man found dead on Sunday at Aweil Nation al secondary school.
Philip Madut Tong, police commissioner told Juba Echo on Tuesday that the incident has whipped up fear in the public.
“The man was found dead at Aweil National secondary school and nobody knows why the killer took his life away. We are investigating his killing and if the person is found then he will face the law,” Madut said.
“The case is worrisome and it has caused fear among the public in Aweil,” he added.
Meanwhile, local chief Malith Wol said they are worried due to the fact that such cases are on the rise in Aweil town.
“Even at night my children always tell me to go to bed early, and not to use the light at night,” he said.
