South Sudan’s Ministry of Federal Affairs lacks budget to implement it’s work as stipulated in the 2018 revitalized peace agreement signed to end years of conflict since outbreak in December 2013.
The Minister of Federal Affairs, Lasuba Wongo told Juba Echo in an interview on Tuesday that the ministry is unable to carry out it’s duties due to meager budgetary allocation in the 2023/24 budget.
He said that they are lobbying international donors to bankroll the ministry’s activities before the transitional period ends.
