The body of the deceased former Inspector General of South Sudan police Lt. General Achuil Tito Madut was laid to rest in Kuajok town of Warrap State on Wednesday.
The casket carrying the body of the late Achuil was seen off at Juba International Airport by Dr. James Wani Igga, Vice President for Economic Cluster accompanied by the SSPDF Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Santino Deng Wol, and Inspector General of Police Gen. Majak Akech Malok.
Dr. Wani consoled the bereaved family of late Gen. Achuil to take courage and be strong.
The 68-year-old Achuil died on 12th March 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya after a long fight against lung cancer.
He served as Inspector General of Police between 2009 and 2012.
Achuil also served as Deputy Minister of Interior from 2015-2016 and as Warrap State Minister of Local Government from 2013-2015.
