The national minister of health Yolanda Awel Deng Juach has appealed to residents to always undergo voluntary test for sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV/ AIDS .
Deng was speaking during a public rally organized last week by the Vice President for Service Cluster Hussein Abdelbagi Akol.
“I am urging you to go for tests as some of you don’t know your status,” said Deng.
She said that they have equipped health centers across the country with testing equipment, adding that people should know their status with or without their spouses.
The Vice President of Service Cluster Hussein Abdelbagi Akolurged parents to take care of their children after state officials expressed concern over the increase of night commuters in the state.
“If we want to have a vibrant society there is a need to seek education and be fearful as many diseases are on the rise as people are mingling a lot,” said Akol.
