Police have arrested three men suspected to have waylaid and killed on December 26th a young man in Panthou Payam of Aweil South County.
Abdhala Deng, the police director of Gogrial West County of Warrap state said on Tuesday that they handed over the three suspects to their counterparts in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state.
Deng said they want to maintain better relations with Aweil South County.
“We have good relationship with people of Aweil as we are neighbors, they are our friends and that is why we handed over the men to them. The investigation will reveal the purpose of killing the young man,” said Deng.
The Paramount Chief of Aweil South County, Akol Ayom Wek said they are relieved with the arrest of the suspected killers.
“It is a good step taken by authorities of Gogrial West County, this cooperation is good and it is what helped to apprehend the suspects, ” said Ayom.
There have been criminal cases of killings and cattle theft in Aweil and Gogrial West County of Warrap leading to authorities from both areas to enhance their cooperation to fight criminals.
