A young man in his 30s was found dead in Zone D, Block 6 of Juba Internally Displaced Person (IDP) Camp on Monday.
The deceased who has not been named was killed at around 7 pm on May 30th 2022 by suspected robbers who hurt him with a sharp object on his neck.
The Chairman of the Juba IDP camp said they have not made any arrests.
“We suspect the gang robbers who are attacking people these days in the PoCs. His neck was cut with a knife and this is very common these days from the niggars who are taking phones from people” said Bor Jaak.
Multiple sources who spoke to Juba Echo on phone from the camp said they are scared since the incident happened yesterday evening.
They called upon the leadership in the camp to do everything to protect the lives of civilians as this attack has become common in the camp.
“There is no enough information about the killing of the late since yesterday because he was found dead on the ground…. there was a wound on his next that look like a spear wound,” Bor said.
He added that the police moved to the scene to collect the body but no suspect has not been arrested.
“The police came to the IDP camp yesterday night and his body was transferred to the mortuary in the military hospital in Juba,” added the camp chairman.
