Unity State’s Ministry Of Education Donates Motorcycles, Minibus To Education Directors

The ministry of education in Unity State have donated eight motorcycles and a minibus to education directors of eight different counties within the state

The donation which is aimed at curbing transports challenges in the education department of the state was attended by all state government ministries, education partners, governors and others.

Mr. Tot Jokchieng, the Unity state minister of general education science and technology told Juba Echo that the donation by his ministry is to facilitate smooth running of education activities at county level.

He added that there was a serious transport problem which made it hard for them to deliver examination papers to some schools previously and urged the recipients of this donation to put them to good use.

“Should we see these donations being used in different things except education, that particular county education director will be questioned and will be held responsible for misusing education assets,” he warned.

The acting governor who is also the deputy governor of Unity state, James Tor Tunguar encouraged and appreciated the ministry of education for the donation which he believes will help education directors to facilitate and improve examinations and education supervision.

“As you are receiving these donations, your salaries have also been increased to 140 percent which you will begin to receive them as soon as possible.” Tunguar promised.

The minister beseech teachers to inject the minds of school children with peace messages for better transformation in South Sudan and Unity state in particular.
