Security operatives in Tonj South County of Warrap State are still on the look-out for a suspect believed to have killed last week two children aged 3 and 5 years in Wunlit area.
David Bol, the police crime officer in Tonj South County, said they are still on the hunt for the suspect who fled into the bush after committing the crime.
“The search is not police alone, it is military intelligence, national security plus police, all organized forces are now still in the bush searching for the suspect, the kids were found murdered and put inside empty sack in the bush,” he told The Juba Echo in an interview by phone on Monday.
He revealed that the children were kidnapped from Tonj East.
Bol said that the killing of the two children has created fear and panic among the people in Tonj since crime is rare in the area.
“I have spent more than two years in Tonj but this kind of crime has never happened, there is a lot of fear now because the suspect is not arrested even school children are afraid walking to school,” he said.
