President Salva Kiir Mayardit issued a republic decree on Friday sacking the country’s defence minister Angelina Teny and Interior minister Mahmoud Solomon.
The decree of the president was read of state owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation or SSBC.
The Ministry of Defence and Veteran’s Affairs was under the Sudan People’s Libration Movement in Opposition or SPLM-IO whereas the Ministry of Interior was under the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Government or SPLM-IG.
President Salva Kiir on Friday in another decree switched the ministries, saying the ministry of defence will now be controlled by SPLM-IG whereas the ministry of interior will go to SPLM-IO
