Captain Guot Guot Akol, the police spokesperson for Northern Bhar el said the suspect was apprehended on Monday night and investigations are continuing.
“Some people are saying that it was a generator that exploded while other victims are saying that it is the suspect that exploded the grenade, so now we have opened a case against the suspect who we apprehended last night and he is now under custody and the matter will be taken to court,” Akol told Juba Echo.
According to him, the suspect insist he didnt blow up the party, blaming a generator for the explosion.
“Of course in such a situation, every one can deny a crime but we are not an authority to prove whether what he is saying is true or false, so w are just taking his statement and victims statements and it will be upto the Court to decide,” Akol said.
