Leading Pan-African telecommunication group, Liquid Telecom has metamorphosed to Liquid Intelligent Technologies to show that it is now a one-stop-shop technology group.
The company, which operates a 100,000 km network, said it wants to expand its cloud business, cyber security services, and other technologies to its current telecommunication and connectivity capability.
Martin Mushambadope, the South Sudan technology CEO said the rebranding is a strategy to highlight the company’s first new digital-product, enabling employees and customers to interact with each other digitally without time or location barriers.
“Through this rebranding, we are saying that our customers and the country are now positioning for future applications that run on the assets that we have built in Africa,” Martin said during a press conference held in Juba on Wednesday.
He added that they are now looking at South Sudan getting to the cutting edge and bringing the rest of the world to its self-whilst taking the country to the rest of the world.
Martin said Liquid Intelligent Technologies has now embarked on provision of affordable internet services to remote areas across South Sudan.
“Fast, reliable, unescapable, and affordable internet is a human right. This is a cornerstone of Liquid’s investment strategy in South Sudan with terrestrial fiber, satellite, and other wireless technologies.”
He said in its now new brand, Liquid will create more recognition and awareness on its ability to provide connectivity and digital solutions for local businesses.
“With this development, we are showcasing for recognition of our ability to provide connectivity and digital solutions for local businesses in order to transform their operations and compete on a bigger scale.”
The technology man on a lighter note expressed his pride for the opportunity to partner with the country in its ongoing digital transformation.
Liquid is a pioneering company in bringing terrestrial fiber connectivity to South Sudan, linking the country to its continent-spanning network across the East Africa region and beyond, including Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
This network is already delivering affordable internet access to South Sudanese people, businesses, and government and helping the country to progress toward achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
