This year marks the 10th anniversary of China’s proposal of building a Human Community with a Shared Future. The past 10 years have seen solid progress and tangible outcomes of the friendly cooperation between China and African countries including South Sudan.
As such, the Chinese Embassy in Juba and the South Sudan-China Alumni Association (SSCAA) are co-organizing a “Human Community with a Shared Future” Thematic Writing Contest for South Sudanese citizens.
The contestants are required to write articles on topics including but not limited to (1) your understanding of the proposal of building Human Community with a Shared Future; (2) and your experiences with China, and thoughts on enhancing China-South Sudan relationship; (3) and how China and South Sudan/Africa together build a Human Community with a Shared Future.
The articles should be between 500-1000 words, preferably with pictures. The deadline of submission is June 15th, 2023. Please send your article and basic information for further contact, which includes your name, WhatsApp number, email address, and current occupation, to Ms. Sadia James, Secretary General of the SSCAA via email (alumnisscaa10gmail.com).
Winners of the contest will be awarded with home appliance, electronic devices and other souvenirs in accordance with prizes. The selected essays will be posted on the official Facebook page of the Chinese Embassy in Juba. Some may be published on mainstream media of South Sudan.
