South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has issued a Republication Decree relieving Jonglei State Deputy Governor, Antipas Nyok and replacing him with Jacob Akech Dengdit.
The decree read out on state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday night did not cite any reason behind the sacking of Nyok.
Antipas Nyok was appointed on 30th December 2021.
Jacob Akech served as Minister of Information and Commissioner of Duk County in 2014 and 2018 respectively.
