The Minister for General Education and Instruction in Central Equatoria state, Cirisio Zechariah Ladu cautioned both administrators of public and private schools to stop early admission and registration of learners.
“The Central Equatoria state’s Ministry of General Education and Instruction directed teachers, school directors and parents to stop the ongoing registration and work according to the academic calendar,” said Ladu during press conference held in Juba.
He said that registration of learners should commence after the release of primary 8 results.
Ladu said that they will revoke operation licenses of schools found to have violated the directives of the ministry of general education and instruction.
“Early registration in schools is not acceptable in both primary and secondary schools till the results are announced, schools will open in February 2024 and end in December 2024,” he said.
Ladu revealed that they will form a committee to inspect all schools.
Luate William Alex, the Director General for the Central Equatoria State Ministry of General Education and Instruction advised school managers to adhere to the directive of the ministry.
“We advise the school management committees and supervisors at state and payam level to make sure that no school abuses the directive, registration will begin after announcing the results,” he said.
