Several teachers in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction after officials paid them one month salaries instead of the four month salaries they are entitled to.
One of the affected teachers who preferred not be named said the committee handling the payment was not up to the task, adding that some teachers were left out.
He said the committee handling payments was sent from Juba but encountered problems due to inflated payroll.
“We have gone more than three months without payment and now it is getting late as we are entering into December,” said a teacher named only Dut.
He also said that teachers in the state have so far received one month salary.
A member of the payment committee handling payment when contacted by Juba Echo, said he would only speak after they have completed payment for Counties.
