The UAP National Staff received a copy of a verdict letter entitled ‘Resolution of Dispute of UAP National Staff Grievances’ dated 06th of October 2023 to the Managing Director, UAP – South Sudan following the Monday – October 02, 2023 – UNSA Complaints of more than 20% Employment of Foreign Staff, Systematic Harassment and Intimidation (Job Insecurity) of National Staff, Selective Rewarding and Enumeration, Termination of National Staff Contracts and Replacing with Kenyan Nationals, and Unlawful Suspension and Termination of the IJAP National Staff;
Pursuant to ‘the Wednesday-October 04, 2023, Ministry of Labour Hearing of UAP Management and UAP – National Staff, and thereafter the analysis of the issues raised; here are the recommendations under-signed by Hon. Mary Hillary Wani Pitia, Undersecretary, Ministry of Labour, Republic of South Sudan: Immediate resumption of all the UAP – National Staff for work; Reinstatement of the Terminated UAP-National Staff Members; Nationalization of the UAP – Human Resource Department; Review of the UAP-National Staff Salary Structure; Condemnation of Nairobi-Based Staff working for UAP-South Sudan and Nationalize the positions;
The Leadership of UAP-National Staff Association (UNSA) is thus excited and apprise the resolutions herein as guidelines toward the practical yet full implementation onto achievement of the objectives of the UNSA ‘SIT-IN-STRIKE’ which was launched on Monday-September 18, 2023; Although happy, realities and ultimate goal is far from being achieved;

Revitalized Legislative Assembly; UAP- South Sudan Board, the Media Fraternity; Civil Activists, Prominent Figures; and the sympathetic of South Sudan; It’s our utmost prayers for your blessing in all endeavours, and keep the good spirit of teamwork through the execution of the resolutions.
Earlier, the Executive Director for Community Empowerment for Progress Organization Edmund Yakani has urged the government to help resolve grievances of UAP insurance staff were recently relieved from their jobs.
