NINASAWA Campaign and Arabic word “we are equal”, this campaign bring people across the town together, as people celebrate the spirit of togetherness. This campaign promotes social cohesion among the youth and the citizens of the state. This road show was organised against tribalism and gender Equality, the activity raised awareness on among the youth and women of Bor town on the need for gender equality at all levels.
The outbreak of war in the Republic of South Sudan in 2013 and 2016 respectively divided youth along tribal line thus high scale of instability in the state. This war led to massive destruction of properties, lives and sexual abuse among the youth. With support from NPA, CAPaD seeks to change the landscape of community through youth mentorship and advocacy.
As an organization, it was our responsibility to change the narrative of youth through engaging them in the peace events, community dialogue and peace campaigns such as NINASAWA campaign preaching messages of peace and active participation of youth in community policing to ensure stability return to the community.
This campaign attracted a huge crown from different part of Bor county, about 7000 household and youth received messages that promote gender equality and fight against tribalism.
