The Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State last week donated 10 million South Sudanese Pounds to support construction of police station and school for Ayat Community in Aweil West County.
Governor Tong Aken Ngor delivered the money on Friday during his tour of road project being constructed by Africa Resource Corporation (ARC) in Aweil West County.
Chief Representative Sultan, Yel Diing Akot said Ayat community lacks good schools, roads and communication network.
“We lack police station, communication network and clean water points. And as a matter of fact we stand firm to support your government that is being led by President Salva Kiir,” Diing informed the Governor.
Aguer Alich, a member of parliament representing Aweil West County, urged the community to support the government in order to benefit from service delivery.
Governor Tong, applauded the community of Aweil West County for recently contributing money toward the construction of Aweil University.
He requested the community to provide materials such as marram to ARC to support construction and tarmacking of roads.
Tong contributed 5 million SSP for construction of police station at Mayom Akuak Rel and another 5 million SSP toward construction of a secondary school in Aweil West County.
