Women Vision Organization a local NGO in partnership with the United Nations Development Programmed (UNDP) on Tuesday launched project aimed to economically empower 450 women in both Unity State and Ruweng Administrative Area.
Angelina Magangi, the program manager of Women Vision program manager, said the project will offer training for women and girls in various economic activities for eight months period.
“This newly launched project will empower women and girls for sustainable development in Unity State and Ruweng Administrative Area,” Magangi told Juba Echo in Bentiu internally displaced persons camp where the project was launched.
Women Vision distributed plastic chairs, plastic tables and umbrella to the women.
“Our project will continue for this year depending on our project agreement datelines with UNDP, but the project will really empower women and girls for sustainable development,” Magangi said.
