The South Sudan Football Association will host it’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game with the Gambia in Egypt according to sources in the federation.
The Bright Stars will play The Gambia in Egypt after efforts to host the game in Juba failed with CAF not approving Juba Stadium to host international games.
The federation had hope the Confederation of African Foot would approve the stadium so they could host Gambia in Juba on 12 June 2023.
South Sudan has for the past 4 years played their
games out of Juba due to reconstruction works going on at the countries only recommended stadium since April 2019.
The Bright Stars must beat The Gambia next to stand a slim chance of making to the AFCON next year in Ivory Coast.
an officials communication is yet to be made by federation.
