The Germany government on Wednesday launched support for the food and nutrition security project to be undertaken for five -years by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Lea Flaspohler, the GIZ Country Director, said during the launch of the project at Palm Africa Hotel that the food and nutrition security, and natural resource management is designed as a complementary intervention to the joint resilience program of World Food program and United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF).
“The project supports small holder households to strengthen agriculture and nutrition and advises communities on the management of natural resources and disaster risks,” she told journalists in Juba.
Flaspohler revealed that the project will be implemented in Western Equatoria state, Central Equatoria state, Eastern Equatoria state and Northern Bahr El Ghazel state.
